Brief

Initially we will meet with you to discuss the requirements of your project. We’ll also provide an overview of the planning controls that relate to your property and discuss your budget.

Measure & Survey

A survey establishing where your house sits in relation to your block and the surrounding context will be required. We will also require internal measurements to be taken, especially if renovating an existing property.

Concept Design

Once we have a good understanding of your needs and ambitions for the project, we will begin exploring ideas, and an estimate of probable cost. A selected scheme will set the foundations for the next stage.

Design Development

The selected scheme will be developed in order to maximise your investment and add value to your home. We will finilise the floor plan, section, along with the selection of features and materials. If Council approval is required, we will prepare the architectural documents for submission.

Construction Documentation

Drawings and specifications will be prepared, and we will oversee the documentation by other specialist consultants. We will work with you to achieve a building permit.

Contractor Selection

We will help you select suitable builders, obtain competitive prices for construction, negotiate with the preferred tenderer (if required) and prepare contract documents.

Contract Administration

Throughout construction, we will liaise with the builder to assess quality of work at key stages and ensure that contract and specifications are complied with. Weekly site meetings are organised to keep an open line of communication and ensure the build runs as smooth as possible. We’ll keep you informed of progress, approve variations, certify progress payments, identify defects and administer their rectification, and oversee the construction through to successful completion.
